Refund and Dispute Policy
This policy describes how escrow funding, payment release, and disputes are handled on the platform.
1. Escrow funding
When a homeowner awards a bid, the platform may require escrow funding before work begins. Funds remain held until the work is completed and released or a dispute changes the outcome.
2. Release
After the homeowner confirms completion, escrowed funds are released to the accepted handyman according to the platform payment flow.
3. Disputes
Either side may open a dispute while funds are held. During an open dispute, payment release is paused while the issue is reviewed through the platform’s dispute workflow.
4. Refunds
Refunds may be issued where a dispute is resolved in the homeowner’s favor, where payment processing errors occur, or where required by law or provider policy.
5. Support and evidence
Users should provide clear messages, photos, receipts, and other relevant evidence to support a dispute or refund review.
