This policy explains what account, job, payment, and support data the platform stores and how that information is used to run the marketplace.
1. Information collected
FixMyHome stores account details, job posts, bids, messages, reviews, uploaded files, notification events, support records, and payment-related metadata needed to operate the marketplace.
2. How data is used
We use data to authenticate users, publish jobs, route bids, process payments, support disputes, review verification documents, send account emails, and improve platform trust and reliability.
3. Sharing
Data may be shared with payment providers, storage providers, email providers, and service partners strictly as needed to run the platform. We do not sell personal information.
4. Retention and safety
We retain marketplace history, billing records, moderation records, and support artifacts as needed for platform integrity, fraud prevention, accounting, legal obligations, and user support.
5. User controls
Users can update account information in-app, and in some cases request deletion. Some records may be preserved where needed for completed work history, payment records, disputes, or legal compliance.
